The USS Infinite Diversity is the second ship of the Inference-class, an experimental class designed by the Starfleet Department of Temporal Engineering. The Infinite Diversity is the first "Interspace" capable ship, allowing it to travel between dimensions in the multiverse. Like all of Temporal Engineering, the mission of the Infinite Diversity is to protect the universe by furthering the technological capabilities of Starfleet and by acting as a specialized force for fighting the Borg and inter-dimensional enemies.
The first mission of the Infinite Diversity was intended to test the Interspace Drive capabilities. However, upon arrival at universe 003, the ship was assaulted by Borg. After a struggle to survive the increasingly dangerous situation, the USS Inference, commanded by Director Jora Mau, came to our assistance. However, cirumstances forced the Infinite Diversity to make an unphased Interspace jump, resulting in massive damage to engineering, and the complete destruction of the Interspace Drive. Further, even a new drive will be unable to bring the Infinite Diversity back to Universe Prime.
The ship arrived otherwise undamaged at Universe 004. However, Earth was inhabited here as well, and the locals led by an organization called the RDA immediately attempted to attack us. Commander Antony was able to rescue the crew of a rebel-controlled ship before it exploded, and the Infinite Diversity retreated to deep space for repairs.
Universe 004 has a material previously unknown to Starlfeet, called Unobtainium. Engineering speculates that this material could be a variant of Dilithium, and could be used to rebuild the Interspace Drive. Unfortunately, Unobtainium is extremely valuable, and found entirely on an inhospitable planet called Pandora, where the RDA is currently fighting the indigenous population, called the Na'vi.

Mark gathered a team and now he's preparing to set foot on the plant Pandora. What maysteries will he unfold?
Universe 004 is the latest universe that the Infinite Diversity has been to, and the ship is off to see this mystical moon "Pandora", and has picked up some of the humans from this universe's Earth.
